Privacy

Privacy policy

We attach great importance to the privacy of everyone who uses our online shop, and we take care to process the personal information you provide to us securely and confidentially. We apply the following privacy policy.

Security

Our entire online shop is secured with an SSL certificate (Secure Sockets Layer). This means all personal data exchanged between our online shop and your computer, tablet or smartphone is encrypted and therefore not readable by others.

Because the personal data you enter in our online shop is sent over a secure connection, you can be sure that this personal data reaches us only. You can therefore safely make payments, enter customer details, enter passwords or fill in a contact form.

You can recognise the SSL certificate by the padlock in front of the web address in the address bar in most internet browsers. The address bar usually shows a padlock icon. The domain name always starts with https instead of http. Our SSL certificate is issued by Sectigo (formerly Comodo). iQtronics is the owner of the e-commerce shop formula Car-L.nl and the domain Car-L.nl.

We have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure your personal data on our servers and in our records against loss or any form of unlawful processing.

Your personal data

We use your personal data to make ordering as quick and easy as possible, and we will only use your personal data with your consent. Car-L will not sell your personal data to third parties and will only make it available to third parties involved in fulfilling your order and our services, or where we are legally required to make personal data available. Our employees and any third parties we engage are required to respect the confidentiality of your personal data.

Your personal data is collected for the following purposes:

Registering an account and logging in

You can register an account in our online shop. You can do this, even without placing an order, via “My account” and then choosing “New customer”. You can also register an account while checking out an order. We then ask you to fill in the following personal data: first name, surname, email address, phone number, password, customer type, postcode, street name, house number, city and country. If you register a business account you can also provide your company name, Chamber of Commerce number and VAT number (business customers established outside the Netherlands but within the European Union are required to provide their Chamber of Commerce number and VAT number). We also ask for the invoice and delivery address and payment details.

With an account you can, among other things, manage personal data such as your name, phone number, email address and password yourself. You can also manage your billing and delivery addresses yourself. In addition, with your account you can view your full order history, place a repeat order, download and print orders and invoices. You can also view any paid subscriptions. Furthermore, you can view the status of your returns, you have access to downloads and you can view any store credit and loyalty point balance. You can also use your account to manage a wish list and your newsletter settings, and change your password.

Placing an order

If you have registered an account, you can place an order by logging into your account and enjoy all the benefits of an account described above. If you don’t want to create an account, you can also “check out directly”. In that case no account is registered, so you also can’t make use of all the benefits of an account. To process the order, when checking out directly we ask you for the same personal data as listed above under “Registering an account and logging in”, except for a password.

Withdrawal

For withdrawing from an agreement we have included a provision in our Terms & Conditions, and we make the statutory model withdrawal form available in our online shop. By using this model form, in addition to details about the order, the following personal data is recorded: name, address and, if applicable, your signature. For withdrawal you can also use the web form for a return request (RMA) or your own unambiguous statement that you wish to withdraw from the agreement.

Return request

For requesting a return we have included a provision in our Terms & Conditions, and a web form for a return request (RMA) must be used. To process a return request, in addition to details about the order, we record the following personal data: first name, surname, email address and phone number.

Payment details

You can pay for an order in various ways. We record the specific payment details for each payment method.

If you choose to pay cash on collection or by cash on delivery, we may contact you by phone before processing the order further.

If you have chosen to pay afterwards, we ask you to provide additional personal data. You will additionally be asked for your gender and date of birth.

We reserve the right not to accept a chosen payment method.

Newsletter

Through our newsletter we would like to inform you about, among other things, new products and options, software updates and offers. If you want to receive the newsletter, you can indicate this when registering an account. You can also subscribe or unsubscribe on your account page. You can also sign up for the newsletter in our online shop without creating an account. You will need to provide your full name and email address. You will be informed by email about how to unsubscribe again.

Reviews

We would very much appreciate it if you would leave a review of the product in our online shop. This allows us to assess our product selection and helps other visitors make their choice. We only record your name with your review. Your name and review are visible to every visitor of our online shop. We reserve the right not to publish reviews.

Helpdesk
